..Itching to get back to work but in Aisa, Singapore infact@ Artstage until Sunday, then on to Thailand for a rest! In the interim here are a few snaps of my trip. Alx

So here it is; 2012! What's new I hear you ask? Well nothing, days, years and months are merely a convenient way for us humans to navigate the universe.. Although this particular year is looking pretty fruitful. I am about to fly to Singapore for 'Artstage' (Aisa's biggest Art fair) and on my return will be appearing in a group show at new(ish) yet awesome 'Rook&Raven' on Rathbone place London. Be sure to waggle down and we may bump into one another. Although be warned I will have just arrived from a 14.5 hour flight so may be a little fragile! Adios and Bon New yearo! Alx

A Painting that is almost finished

Been a tough few weeks, days, mornings and nights, V tired and looking forward to a little rest...a couple of shows soon, 'Paper' at Black Rat Press on Thursday and then the following Tuesday Cyclops and I in Knightsbridge....hmmm

Rise Of the repetition.....

Absolutely worthy of a blog post....been working on a painting which contains a completely random symbol or pattern from the floor that a model was perched on in a fashion mag, I extracted the symbol and began to repeat it as a motif to my current output/ painting series. During a break I went and watched 'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes'. When the main monkey is in his cell, he begins to draw....the bloody symbol i've been painting for the last month?!! Am I a monkey, is he clever than me, who stole from who, is it coincidence? IS the monkey telling me i'm onto something?! What the hell does this mean?!?! ...and tea.
